1. Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is FPL Investments GmbH, Fabian Platzen, Brunnenstrasse 13, 10119 Berlin, Germany. Email: [email protected]. The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

2. Data we collect

When you visit our website, our servers temporarily store connection data including the IP address of the requesting device, the date and time of access, the browser type and version, the operating system used, the referrer URL, and the name and URL of the file accessed. This data is not merged with other data sources. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.

3. Purpose and legal basis

We process connection data to ensure the technically error-free and optimised provision of the website and to detect and prevent misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interests). We process contact form data solely to respond to your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interests).

4. SSL / TLS encryption

This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address line of your browser changing from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

5. Retention periods

Connection log data is deleted after seven days unless a longer retention period is required for the investigation of a specific incident. Contact form data is retained for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and for any follow-up, and is then deleted unless statutory retention obligations apply. We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains.

6. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties. Data may be disclosed to service providers acting as processors on our behalf (e.g. hosting providers) who are contractually bound to process data only on our instructions and in accordance with applicable data protection law. We will not pass on your data without your consent.

7. Cookies

This website uses only technically necessary cookies required for the operation of the site. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. Technically necessary cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. No consent is required for technically necessary cookies under applicable law.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing; rectification or deletion of your data; restriction of processing; data portability; and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw your consent to data processing at any time by sending us an informal email. The legality of data processing carried out prior to withdrawal remains unaffected. To exercise your rights, please contact us at [email protected].

9. Right to lodge a complaint

In the event of breaches of data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for FPL Investments GmbH is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit. A list of data protection officers and their contact details can be found at: https://www.bfdi.bund.de.

10. Objection to advertising emails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published as part of our legal notice obligation for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements or our data processing practices. The current version is always available on this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
